Our first cottage community in the Midwest uses a traditional farmhouse style for the homes.  In order to adapt a cottage concept to midwest winters, private garages are attached to each home. However, the project emphasizes the pedestrian over the car, keeping green spaces free of asphalt and tucking garages out of view.
